Long Point YOW 2024

I was very lucky to be selected as part of Long Point Bird Observatory’s annual Young Ornithologists Workshop (YOW), where I learned to band birds. I was also able to see many new bird species, including barred owls and ruby-throated hummingbirds. In fact, one of my favorite activities to do at the observatory (apart from banding) was helping with census and recording the birds that I saw throughout the day. I particularly enjoyed looking out for birds at the birding platform near the banding lab.
